Intu Blinds are quick to fit and easy to clean, and, best of all, they’re child safe with no loose cords or chains.

Intu Pleated Blinds

Our Intu pleated and cellular blinds are a stunning array of classic neutrals, striking colours, new fabric technologies and on trend designs. Available as both standard and blackout shading, most of our Intu pleated fabrics are also sponge clean and suitable for moist conditions, making them suitable for a wide range of rooms.

Intu Blinds installed within the beading of the window frame

The beauty of Intu Blinds is that they’re simple to install! Each INTU blind has a head rail which easily clips into the window beading. The head rail and components of the Intu blinds are available in white, brown or silver, giving you the choice to match your interior decor..

There is no shortage of colours or fabric choices in our INTU blind range with hundreds of different options to choose from across the three product types.

Intu Roller Blind head-rails are slightly bigger than venetian and pleated as the roller head rail accommodates the roller tube and fabric.

The INTU Roller Blind is slightly different in that it has side guide rails which guide the blind’s fabric up and down smoothly and lock the blind into intermediate positions.

Intu Blinds For French Doors

Finding suitable blinds for your patio doors can be a difficult task but it needn’t be.

With a wide range of colours and fabrics to choose from, why choose anything other than intu Blinds for French Doors. Simply snap the blind headrail into place and voila! No drilling or screwing required!

As well as intu Blinds for French Doors, we can also provide Intu blinds for bi-fold doors with three colours of headrail to choose from to compliment your decor. The Intu micro system has been designed especially for bi-fold doors with a smaller fabric pleat size accommodating for the compact requirements.

What makes Intu blinds perfect for both bi-fold and French patio doors is that the headrail fits within the beading, and so stays fixed even when opening the doors. Normal blinds, on the other hand, would have to be fixed on a frame above the door itself which would limit the operation of the doors and cause obstruction.

With multi-zone options available, Intu blinds allow you to add that element of privacy to your indoor space whilst providing an elegant finish.

Intu Blind FAQ

Intu blinds are often seen as a versatile alternative to Perfect Fit Blinds. Their innovative no-drill blind system means there is no drilling or screwing required to fit them to your windows, doors or conservatory making them a great and easy addition to any home or property. An Intu Blind snap-fits to the window or door pane making them easy to fit, open, close and keep clean.

An Intu Blind fits into the frame of your window or door and they come in 3 different types of blind; Roller, Venetian and Pleated. Unlike a Perfect Fit Blind which has a four-sided frame, Intu Blinds have a head-rail that houses the tensioned blind material with the bottom rail which you use to open and close the blind. Two discreet side channels run the length of the window and this keeps the blind under constant tension and enables the full use of the window or door ensuring the blind doesn’t swing.

Intu blinds have a headrail which clips into the top of the window frame and the blind material runs up and down the window frame guided by a discreet cord that runs down either side of the window frame which keeps the blind under constant tension making them easy to open and close.

There are lots of benefits to an Intu Blind including:

  • Neat and simple control options
  • No free-hanging cords, pulleys or rods
  • They will fully integrate with all modern windows including ’tilt and turn’, bi-fold and glazed doors
  • Easy to install and can be clipped in place in minutes if they have been made to measure your window or door
  • They can be quickly removed if you move house, are decorating or doing a deep clean
  • The blind doesn’t hinder the window or door handle as it fits inside the frame of the window or door
  • Easy to operate
  • Extremely lightweight
  • Their flush and tensioned design stops the blind from rattling against the glass pane
  • You can fully open and close your windows or doors without the Intu blind swinging or getting in the way as they are attached flush to the pane
  • They have a clever tensioning system that prevents the blinds from rattling or blowing if there is a breeze
  • They are suited to conservatories, tilt and turn windows and any types of full or partially glazed doors
  • Their flush-fitting system means light is minimised around the sides when fully closed
  • Clutter-free window sills
  • They are easy to remove for cleaning making them perfect for conservatories where you may have lots of window coverings
  • They control sunlight, enhance privacy and improve insulation in any room
  • They come in 3 different blind styles; Venetian, Pleated and Roller
  • They come in a wide range of materials and colours
  • They are extremely versatile and can come in a blackout option from some blind companies

Perfect fit blinds have a frame-based system that push-fits between the glass of the windows pane and the neoprene gasket (a rubber-like material around the glass). This means they clip onto a frame that is fitted onto the window, creating a neat and easy fixture. There are 4 different types of perfect fit blinds available including; cellular, pleated, roller or Venetian blinds.

Intu Blinds are similar to Perfect Fit Blinds, however, they don’t have a frame-based system as such but instead, they have a plastic cover that is fitted at the top of the window or door and an inbuilt slider that operates the tilt function of the blind. As with Perfect Fit Blinds, there are no cords or pulleys that hang down and pose a threat to children or pets. Intu Blinds have a very clever tensioning system that runs down either side of the window frame making them easy to open and close as well as keeping the blinds from rattling if there are drafts and they fit flush to the glass pane ensuring you can fully open and close your windows or doors.

An Intu Blind fits flush to the glass pane and inside the window frame which means you can fully open the window or door whether it opens inwards or outwards. A Venetian Intu blind opens by you tilting the slats using the top bar, offering full or partial privacy, or you can use the top or bottom panel to push it up or down to open or close it. Pleated Intu blinds can be pushed down from the top leaving just the top part of your window exposed or pushed up from the bottom leaving the bottom party of your window exposed making them a really versatile blind with lots of privacy and shade options.

An Intu blind is easily fitted and just clips into the frame of your window or door pane in just minutes with no drilling or holes needed. Simple brackets fit into the window bead, tensioning the blind which means there are no hanging cords or pulley systems making them one of the safest blinds available.
